Our specialty. A properly prepared site is what makes a new lawn level, healthy and long-lasting. Choose a full professional prep, or hire our bobcat and operator.

Why preparation matters

How we prepare your site

1. Site inspection We look at access, levels, drainage and soil, and recommend the turf that suits your yard.
2. Clear the old ground Old lawn, weeds and the top layer are scraped off with machinery and taken away.
3. Level with machinery Soil is spread and the site is graded so water drains away from the house.
4. Hand finish Levels are adjusted by hand around edges and paths, and everything is raked to a finished level.

What’s included

• Full prep package: machinery and labour to a professional finished level
• Full prep guide: 50–99 m² usually $850–$1,800; 100–400 m² usually $900–$4,800
• Machine hire (wet hire): $130/hr bobcat only, $150/hr combo
• Machine hire minimum 3 hours, including 1 hour travel, with our operator

Good to know

• Full prep prices depend on access and ground condition. This is a guide only.
• With machine hire, you do the manual levelling where the machine can’t reach, and touch up afterwards.
• Site preparation needs at least 1.3 m of access into your yard.

Extra cost, with competitive bulk prices. We confirm how much you need after a site inspection.

Waste dumping fee / skip bin

If waste needs taking away, a waste dumping/skip bin costs from $390 depending on volume. We confirm the volume after a site inspection.
